Vehicle Wash Facilities
XR® Geomembrane Applications
As the result of environmental concerns, the U.S. Military is installing Wash Facilities for various armored equipment at all applicable military facilities. The resulting wash water, which can result from cleaning tanks is collected, treated and released. The volume of wash water can be large and is intermittent. Therefore, equalization impoundments are required. Contaminants include oils, degreasers, glycols, diesel, JP8, and surfactants. Read about actual examples of this application below.
